Zero need to mess with the preload or clickers. - the Beta's all feel about right from the factory - bikes with the 2-way Reiger (TRS, GG) are about right. Maybe a little quick, add a few turns of damping

Jon, I weigh about 165ish and have 2 1/2 turns of preload on stock spring with compression adjustment untouched on left fork. 22 clicks out on right or rebound side. Replaced stock fluid with Red Line synthetic. I will tweak around on rebound adjustments (because I can't leave it alone) but end up back at 22 clicks. Steel is stiffer, so the inside diameter of the stanchion rods is bigger on the steel forks. The fork spring is larger in diameter on that fork, and there is a little more internal volume, affecting the bled and collapsed oil height spec.
