WebJul 28, 2011 · Guys, I have a Hasting Paradox 870 M/L barrel that I picked up recently. It is the barrel that attaches to your trusty 870 shotgun action. It uses a 209 primer for ignition. I hadn't seen one before so I gobbled it up. Googled this thing and realized that they are very rare and a nice piece. Hastings stopped making these years ago. WebThe rifled slug barrel. I have a Hastings rifled barrel on an 1100, it shoots 1.5" groups at 100 yards. Shot a nice buck at 165 several years back it only ran 30 yards and fell over dead, double lung. The one piece of advise is to buy several brands of slugs and shoot them back to back.
