WebEffective January 1, 2024, lawyers and paralegals must complete the CPD Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Requirement. Lawyers and paralegals must complete a total of 3 Professionalism Hours that focus on advancing equality, diversity and inclusion in the lawyer and paralegal professions between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024. Web4 hours of verifiable CPD every 3 years related to ethics (Bylaw 23.4) Deadline to Complete and Report. CPD activities are monitored on a calendar year basis; therefore, you have until December 31 of each year to complete the minimum CPD requirements (Rule 323.3). Ensure each CPD activity is reported in the calendar year in which it is completed.
