I have 10 amps including blackface Fenders, old Ampegs, etc. and this is the one I use as a practice amp, plugged into a 10" Jensen. The original Champion circuit with a grid-leak biased pentode input stage is real interesting also. lightreel. WebAug 27, 2009 · The bias spec and bias points are on the schematic. The 1 ohm resistors are right there, so just measure the voltage from pin 8 to ground. No need for an in-socket bias adapter. Pull the chassis, put it up on 2x4 blocks, plug in the speaker or an 8 ohm dummy load. If you try the JJ 6V6-S you can go a little hotter.

WebThe 2M2 resistor is hooked to the B+ supply to supply the bias voltage. If you do the Stokes mod, the point shown above is on a different tap of the power supply than if the amp were stock. I tried both taps. The voltages I measured are: My preference was for the phase inverter tap. The amp stayed cleaner a bit longer when the grid was biased ... WebOutput tubes: two 6V6GT in fixed bias. Rectifier: 5Y3. Controls: Volume, Tone, Speed, Intensity. Speaker: one 10” Oxford 10J4. Output: approximately 12 watts RMS. WebJefferson County, MO Official Website WebElevated ground is accomplished with simple voltage divider combined with 22uF filter cap which should make nice smooth reference. With B+3 at 260VDC I should get 260 / 4.7 = 55V as a reference. This mod costs … WebThe voltage drop across the cathode resistor puts the cathode at a positive voltage compared to the control grid (normally around +1.7 volts DC). This voltage difference is the triode's bias. Some modern high gain amps bias their preamp triodes cooler using a 2.7k cathode resistor or bias it hotter with an 820 ohm resistor. peoplesoft permission list and roles
